On the afternoon of April 10, the University held the 2023 Teaching Salon in the Administration Building for sharing experience in curriculum development groups, first-class undergraduate specialties, as well as ideological content into the first-class undergraduate specialties. Executive Vice President Fu Huanchang and associate deans and department heads of the schools and faculty member representatives attended the event, hosted by Chen Yingzheng, Director of Academic Programs.
Executive Vice Dean Li Meizhen of the School of Economics and Management talked about the selection, duties and compensation of the curriculum development groups and the work that they have done and their shortcomings.
Vice Dean Liu Yan of the School of Business Administration shared his experience in running the State First-Class Specialty-Human Resources Management in conjunction with famous companies such as Jing Dong and Sankerong in experimenting various innovation HR and headhunting classes.
Li Junwen, an associate professor of the School of Intelligent Manufacturing and Electrical Engineering showcased his First-Class online course- Mechanic Drawing and AutoCAD, from resources, course offering, application for the First-Class Status and the course contents.
Department Head Huang Aiqing of the School of Economics and Management gave a detailed account of the necessity, goals and measures of putting ideological content into her course Principles of Economics and her success in application for Guangdong Province Exemplary Project of Ideological Curriculum Development.
Fu Huanchang made concluding remarks calling upon all the schools to identify their directions and lay solid foundations for discipline construction and hands-on capabilities so that the University’s overall quality will be upgraded.
