On August 9, 2023, Huang Jiazhou, GZIST Board Chairman and President Hu Shejun, accompanied by members of the University Board, visited Wingtech Technology Co.,Ltd in Kunming Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park to explore opportunities for industry-university-research cooperation. They were warmly welcomed by Zhang Xunhua, Managing Director of Kunming Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park and Song Chen, Director of Public Affairs Department.
Our delegation watched the promotion video of Wingtech Technology, an A-share listed company in China. Their main business includes three segments: semiconductor IDM, optical modules and communication product integration, forming a full industrial chain including R&D and manufacturing of automotive electronic products from semiconductor design, wafer manufacturing and package test.
Accompanied by Zhang Xunhua, the delegation visited the product exhibition hall, production plant and laboratory of the industrial park for the production situation and industry chain of products including mobile phones and home intelligence.
After the visit, the delegation discussed cooperation with Wingtech. Zhang Xunhua hoped that both sides would deepen the cooperation model and share resources for mutual benefits. President Hu Shejun made a detailed introduction to GZIST from the features, faculty, talent training to student employability. Both sides had in-depth discussions on industry-university-research cooperation in new energy vehicles, artificial intelligence, intelligent manufacturing, as well as providing better internships and positions.
The visit to Kunming Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park has laid a firm foundation for further promoting the integration of industry-university-research, and built a high-quality cooperation platform for students' professional training and employment.
