On February 17, the University faculty and staff celebrated the new year making splendid performances and receiving thrilling lottery prizes.
First, University CPC Secretary Huang Shengcheng delivered a new year message: 2022 had been an unusual, hard and unforgettable year for our country. All of us at GZIST had been making painstaking efforts to overcome the difficulties, grasp the opportunities and achieve great breakthroughs. 2023 is a year of implementation of the CPC 20th National Congress Spirit, launch of the High Quality Development as well as preparation for our undergraduate teaching assessment. Under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era, we will implement to the letter the CPC Central Committee directive on high quality development and CPC Guangdong Committee and government requirements for “Remaking a New Guangdong and Recreating New Miracles”. For our university community, we will go all out to fulfill our tasks aiming to “Remake a New GZIST”.
Faculty and staff from various schools, such as Business Administration, Music and Dance, performed brilliantly by singing, group dancing and ballet. The First Singing Competition Final picked the top three singers: Ren Hailong, Li Xinxin and Zeng Huanyang. On-stage lottery prizes drove the Lunar New Year Party to waves of shouts and laughter.
