School of Foreign Languages Translation 1. Master the basic knowledge of English language, literature and culture.

2. Knowledge of English-speaking countries in general.

3. Knowledge of Chinese language and culture.

4. Understand the differences between English and Chinese language as well as Chinese and Western culture.

5. Knowledge of translation theory and translation profession.		 The minimum number of credits to be completed is 156, including 118 credits of compulsory courses, 10 credits of public electives (at least 2 credits in each category), at least 18 credits of specialized electives, and at least 10 credits of extended courses.
